Christmas is only a few days away and it has snuck up on me. I am leaving in an hour to attempt a 10 hour road trip to see my in-laws. Traveling with two kids under two will be an adventure. I also came down with an awful cold yesterday and have been in bed all day trying to muster up the strength to get packed up. Thankfully my mom has helped out, and we are going to head out soon. I posted a christmas cocktail last week that was fantastic, but I need to post this one as well. It is so good and another slam dunk for any holiday party. I made it for a Christmas party I catered a few years back and it was completely gone. It’s a strong punch, so feel free to adjust the alcohol according to your taste. Merry Christmas!
Cranberry Lime Pomegranate Spiked Punch
2 cups good vodka (recommended: Grey Goose or Finlandia)-Make sure not to use cheep vodka-you will be able to tell!
1 cup orange liqueur (recommended: Cointreau)
1 cup cranberry juice cocktail, (recommended: Ocean Spray)
1/2 cup bottled pomegranate juice (recommended: Pom Wonderful)
1/2 cup freshly squeezed lime juice (4 limes)
Thinly sliced limes, for garnish
Combine all ingredients in a pitcher. For a big crowd, it is ok to double but you may need 2 pitchers. Put in the fridge until ready to serve. When ready to serve, fill cups with ice. Pour cocktail in the glass and garnish with a lime. Makes about 6 drinks.
