This recipe is for both kid and adult snackers. Mini vienna beef hotdogs are wrapped in a flakey pillsbury dough to make a fun appetizer. I made these last year as an appetizer for the Super Bowl and just made them again for our New Year’s Eve celebration. Keep this recipe in your party recipe vault because you too will love these as the perfect party poppers.
Piglets in a blanket
1 (8 oz.) package of pillsbury crescent dough- You can use original or the big & buttery kind
1/4 cup dijon mustard
24 mini Vienna Beef hotdogs
ketchup for dipping
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Cut each triangle of crescent roll dough into thirds lengthwise, making 3 small strips from each roll. Brush the dough strips lightly with Dijon mustard. Put the mini hot dogs on 1 end of the dough and roll up.
Arrange them, seam side down, on a greased cookie sheet. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with poppy seeds. Bake until golden brown, about 12 to 15 minutes. Serve warm with the ketchup for dipping.
